English and French subtitles are available for all performances of our shows. The number of smart tablets for subtitles is limited. Reservations are not necessary but recommended. A credit card will be requested as a deposit and returned at the end of the show.

Mobility and Access

TCM is completely wheelchair accessible.

Our reception, Theatre and Studio are all located on the main floor. Both TCM and CCFM buildings are equipped with automatic doors. There are three accessible washrooms on the main floor. A folding wheelchair can be made available to a patron upon request. Please let us know in advance at 204-233-8053.

If you are visiting our office, you may contact us by using the video intercom located by the main entrance in order to gain access to the elevator.

If you are coming to see a show:

Depending on the layout of the audience for each play, accessible seating in the theatre may be limited. You can call us at 204-233-8053 to reserve accessible seating free of charge.

Parking

Parking is free, with 4 spaces designated as accessible to the west of the main entrance. It's possible to drop off or pick up someone directly in front of the TCM doors.

Hearing Assistance

We provide headphones for people with special hearing needs during the shows at TCM.

To borrow a hearing device, approach our House Manager or a volunteer near the entrance. You may bring your own headphones with a standard connector to use with our device. This service is available upon demand – a credit card will be asked for as a security deposit and will be returned at the end of the presentation.
Some patrons with hearing aids may experience difficulty hearing with our headphones. Reserved seating near the stage or other options may be made available if this is the case. Call us at 204-233-8053 for more details.

Bringing yours kids to the theatre

Much of TCM’s programming is aimed at an adult or teenage audience. Babies and children under the age of 4 are not permitted during shows which are not targeted to a family audience. Unless the show is targeted at a younger audience, it is recommended that young children do not attend.

  • Change tables for young children are available in all of our accessible washrooms.
  • Due to fire regulations, strollers and/or child seats are not permitted in the aisles. However, they can be left in the foyer near the coat racks. Ask the venue management to help you park your stroller!

Quiet Room

The Quiet Room is a room made available to you to provide a safe and caring environment for those in need. Take advantage of the Quiet Room during the whole season.

Where can you find it?
The Quiet Room is in the Studio, behind the bar. Signage can be found at various points around the theatre, or you can ask our volunteers.

Why?
This rooms allows for those needing peace and quiet to have a safe and inclusive space to relax.

When?
This area is accessible before, during and after the show. A trained volunteer will be on hand to welcome you, chat with you or answer any questions you may have.

What can you find?
Books will be available, as well as flyers from various organizations and drawing materials. There will also be hot drinks and a comfortable seating area.

What can you do?
You can chat with a volunteer or relax, draw, read or rest. Please speak quietly. No loud noises will be tolerated.

This space is inclusive, we will ask you to respect the needs of everyone. Be tolerant, caring and attentive to people who may be in difficulty.
